Ms. SO Lai Fun Sue 蘇麗芬

Sue So Lai-fun is an executive director of Golin International, specializing in corporate communications, issues management and financial communications.

Sue’s public relations career started in 2001, when she joined Golin and subsequently seconded to the office of Tung Chee-hwa, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s first chief executive, to oversee media relations and event management for his re-election campaign. She also has significant experience in China, having served as the director of investor relations at Mainland Internet company Tencent Holdings Ltd (HKSE: 007), where she managed the company’s IPO in Hong Kong and ongoing investor relations programme.

Before entering public relations, Sue was a political journalist with the South China Morning Post, Hong Kong Economic Journal and Sing Tao Daily, covering major political events and public policy issues.

Sue holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communications and a master’s degree in Global Business from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She also received a master’s degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from the London School of Economic and Political Science. She enjoys reading, music and yoga.
