Prof. Fok Tai-fai, Dean of Medicine, has been re-appointed by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR as a member of the Hospital Authority for two years from 1 December 2012.
Prof. Lee Tze-fan Diana, Professor of Nursing and director of the Nethersole School of Nursing, has been appointed by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR as a member of the Hospital Authority for two years from 1 December 2012.
Prof. Tsou Jin-yeu, professor in the School of Architecture, has been re-appointed by the Deputy Secretary for Development (Planning and Lands) as a member of the Appeal Tribunal Panel under Section 45 of the Buildings Ordinance for three years from 1 December 2012.

Prof. Yum Tak-shing Peter, Professor of Information Engineering, has been re-appointed by the Deputy Secretary for Development (Planning and Lands) as a member of the Appeal Tribunal Panel under Section 45 of the Buildings Ordinance for one year from 1 December 2012.
Prof. Woo Pui-leng, associate professor in the School of Architecture, has been re-appointed by the Deputy Secretary for Development (Planning and Lands) as a member of the Appeal Tribunal Panel under Section 45 of the Buildings Ordinance for the period from 1 December 2012 to 31 July 2013.
Prof. Benjamin W. Wah, Provost and Wei Lun Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, has been appointed as chairman of the Research Grants Council for the period from 1 January 2013 to 30 June 2015.
