Prof. Zhang Yaping, Vice President of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) led a delegation comprising members from the Kunming Institute of Zoology (KIZ) of CAS to visit CUHK on 5 March. The aim of the visit was to exchange updates of CUHK and CAS, and to promote mutual understanding for sustainable partnership development.

The delegation gave a presentation on the development of KIZ, while CUHK members introduced to the delegates the University’s latest developments and outstanding research areas. A brief summary on the recent development of KIZ-CUHK Joint Laboratory of Bioresources and Molecular Research in Common Diseases was also presented.

In addition to attending the annual meeting of the KIZ-CUHK Joint Laboratory, the delegates visited School of Biomedical Sciences and Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences, where the delegation had a closer look of CUHK’s research facilities and met with relevant representatives for academic exchange.
