In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Department of Translation and the 10th anniversary of the MA in Computer-aided Translation Programme, the Department of Translation organizes two conferences on 4 and 5 May 2012 at LT6 and LT7, Lee Shau Kee Building, CUHK.

The conference on ‘Translation between Chinese and English: Theory and Practice’ aims to bring together scholars and experts in different parts of the world to exchange ideas on the theoretical and practical issues relating to translation between Chinese and English, while the conference on ‘New Trends in Translation Technology’ provides a platform for scholars and experts in the field of translation technology to discuss the theoretical and practical issues relating to the use of the latest systems on the market.
