Open Educational Resources: Home

This guide introduces selected Open Educational Resources (OERs) to support your learning and teaching. 

Open Educational Resources (OERs) are any educational resources in the public domain or openly licensed (e.g. creative commons) that are freely accessible for educators and students to use, adapt and reuse.

OERs can include learning content, such as:

• Books and textbooks
• Videos and images
• Course materials, assignments, lecture notes
• Course modules and complete courses

• It's FREE!
• Open for students to learn at their own interest and pace

► For Instructors 

• Save time by reusing or modifying course content instead of developing their own
• Flexible customization and increasing "plug and play" support can allow easy integration into courses and supplement regular course content

For CUHK course instructors, you can add an OER to course ReadingList easily from some OER websites.

See the steps below:

1. Login ReadingList with your CUHK login

2.Click on "Cite it!"

3. Drag the "Cite it!" button to your browser's bookmarks bar.

4. Go to an OER website, click on "Cite it" in bookmarks bar.

5. Select the reading list you want to add the OER to.

6. Click "ADD & CLOSE"
