A good cohesive supervisor-student relationship is essential in assisting postgraduate research students achieve their learning outcomes. By negotiating expectations about the roles and responsibilities of both supervisor and student early on, the research journey for both parties can be engaging and rewarding. Workshop on Research Supervision provides a practical overview of best research supervision practices, including explicit examples from different disciplines. We will discuss strategies to help supervisors support and manage their postgraduates successfully.
