China Studies: History

The China Biographical Database is a freely accessible relational database with biographical information about approximately 360,000 individuals as of 2016, primarily from the 7th through 19th centuries. The data is useful for statistical, social network, and spatial analysis. It is a joint project developed by Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard University, Institute of History and Philology of Academia Sinica, Taiwan, and Center for Research on Ancient Chinese History at Peking University.

Database developed by Center for the Study of Asian Cultures, Kansai University.
