Sharing References

Share a Group of References

  1. In the EndNote Library, right-click the group you would like to share, click on "Share Group...".
  2. Log in to your EndNote Basic account.
  3. In Invite More People, enter the email addresses of people you would like to share with.
  4. In Permission, choose "Read & Write" or "Read Only".
  5. Click "Invite" to send out the invitation.

Share a Reference Library

  1. In the EndNote Library, click "File" > "Share...".
  2. Log in to your EndNote Basic account.
  3. In Invite More People, enter the email addresses of people you would like to share with.
  4. In Permission, choose "Read & Write" or "Read Only".
  5. Click "Invite" to send out the invitation.

Synchronize your EndNote Library to EndNote Basic

To share the references with others, or to make your entries in EndNote Desktop portable, you may use the "Sync" function in EndNote Basic.

  • In the EndNote Library, click "Sync Configuration" > "Sync Now".
  • References will be available in your EndNote Basic account.
  • Use another computer (installed with EndNote Desktop) to download, or "Sync" the reference library from the online account.

 

 

Note: One EndNote Basic account can only match to one EndNote library. If you have organized your references in more than one libraries, please create another EndNote Basic account.
