With the effort of the CUHK Geography and Resource Management (GRM) Alumni Association and the generous support from caring alumni and the community, the Department of Geography and Resource Management has raised over HK$1.5 million (including the matching grant obtained from the government)  to set up student scholarships and bursaries, and support various student activities. The Department held a Welcoming Luncheon cum Presentation Ceremony to Scholarship Donors on 4 October to express gratitude to the donors. Nearly 130 participants attended the ceremony including students of three-year curriculum and four-year curriculum, representatives of GRM Alumni Association, scholarship donors and all faculty members.
