The Brown-CUHK Summer Institute 2012 took place from 2 June to 27 July 2012 when nine students from the two universities explored the global political and economic systems of China and the US with professors from Brown University and CUHK. The eight-week programme consisted of lectures, group discussions, field visits held in Hong Kong and the US, and ended with a week-long tour to Beijing.
