Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics

Clinical Services

CCDS service

  • Outreach CCDS SOPD MCHC clinics (4-8 sessions per week) to cover NTEC in managing high risk families with children aged under 6 years old referred from OG, MCHC or community services. (300-400 new cases and 800 follow up cases per year) for early identification and intervention.


DBP Services

  • DBP SOPD clinic to manage children with special needs and behavioural problems. (300-400 attendances per year)

  • To provide training workshop to parents, teachers of KG, primary, secondary, VTC school teachers on special needs children. To teach Paed trainee and medical students for developmental module.


Child protection

  • To deliver child protection lecture to both Shatin and North and Tai Po District community inclufing KG teachers and social workers

  • Medical Coordinators for Child Abuse at the Prince of Wales Hospital.


Obesity clinic

  • Be one of the physicians in obesity clinic especially providing behavioural modification

  • Member of the obesity subgroup in Paediatrics

Educational activities

Trainee rotated to this community paediatrics module will attend all related clinical duties, meeting, teaching activities as stated above.

Research opportunities

Multiple collaborate research activities are ongoing including;

  • Jockey Club Joy Together Online Family Support Programme

  • vPADII for ASD children in mainstream school for social adaptive function 

  • Aerobic exercise program for children with ASD and ADHD
