CUHK Rowing Team Champion in Two Major Competitions

Generously supported by Oriental Watch and CUHK Caring Alumni Fund, CUHK Rowing Team upgraded its facilities and won both the Jackie Chan Challenge Cup Hong Kong Universities Rowing Championships 2010 and the 24th Hong Kong Intervarsity Rowing Championship in spite of facing great challenges from other universities.

Three state-of-the-art rowing sculls donated by Dr. Yeung Ming-biu, Chairman of the Oriental Watch Group, and the CUHK Caring Alumni Fund have greatly enhanced the performances in both competitions. The CUHK rowing team members are thus able to secure their 9th straight win as Overall Champion in Jackie Chan Challenge Cup Hong Kong Universities Rowing Championships 2010, and as the Men’s and Women’s Champions in the 24th Hong Kong Intervarsity Rowing Championship.

Team leader Zhu Shan-hang said, "Our victory is the result of a whole summer’s hard work and the continued support from fellow alumni and donors."
