In general, applicants must meet the general requirements as defined in the most recent Graduate School brochure http://www.gs.cuhk.edu.hk/ published by The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
In particular:
- Applicants should normally possess a good honours degree and display strong interest in literary studies and a good command of English.
- Applicants must submit:
- a 500-word statement about their interests and goals related to postgraduate study in English literature, and
- a short writing sample (1,000 – 1,500 words), preferably a scholarly essay written on a topic related to literature.
- Applicants will be shortlisted to an interview. The interview aims to assess the applicants’ linguistic and intellectual abilities.
