The “Multi-faceted Excellence Scholarship” was launched by HKSAR Home Affairs Bureau in 2015. Through the scholarship scheme, local undergraduate students are awarded full-tuition fee scholarships by the government each year to study a bachelor degree in recognition of their achievements in non-academic areas such as sports, arts and/ or community service. Among the roughly 40 annual scholarship quotas, CUHK has admitted this year 21 scholarship recipients, one of whom admitted to our Department. Congratulations!
The Chinese University of Hong Kong established a “Young Researcher Award” to recognize research accomplishments of young faculty members. Prof. KWOK Bit Chee of our Department has been selected for the “Young Researcher Award 2018”. Congratulations!
The awardee list of the “Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2018” was announced by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC), which includes two members of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, namely, Ms. Hon Lai-chu, Part-time Lecturer, who was awarded the “Artist of the Year (Literary Arts)”, and Ms. Li Mei-ting, a PhD student, who was presented the “Award for Young Artist (Arts Criticism)”. Congratulations to Ms. Hon and Ms. Li!
