Important Information for the Start of New Academic Year 2022-23 for New Undergraduate Students |
Dear Students, |
Please observe the following important information before the start of the new academic year on 5 September 2022. |
1. |
Personal Information and “My Academics” in “Profile” tile under CUSIS |
To ensure data accuracy, please review once again the records of name, addresses, emergency contact information in “Profile” tile under CUSIS, and to update them whenever necessary. Students may also enquire detailed academic information under “My Academics”, including major programme, sub-plan/concentration (where applicable), study period, etc. All information is generated by system interface from the admission system. Please check the information carefully and seek advice from RES if there are any discrepancies. |
2. |
Academic Counselling Session |
New students should attend the Academic Counselling Session to be held by the relevant Faculty/Major Programme on 23 August 2022. Please check the detailed information specified by your Faculty/Major Programme on RES homepage and attend the academic counselling session following their announcement/email notification. |
3. |
1st Term Teaching Timetable |
Please refer to the announcement dated 11 July 2022 for detailed information on teaching timetable, venues/classrooms and updating schedule. |
4. |
1st Term Course Enrolment under CUSIS (30 August 2022) |
• |
Students should check their time appointments for course selection in “Enrollment Dates” under CUSIS on 23 August 2022 or after. It is students' responsibility to check the time appointments under CUSIS and logon CUSIS at the designated time periods for course registration. |
• |
Prior to course registration, students should use CUSIS system functions to plan and validate the classes they wish to enroll in 1st term 2022-23. For details, please refer to “1st Term Course Registration and Add/Drop, 2022-23 for New Students” posted on RES homepage. As departments may make amendments to the timetable information and/or course enrolment rules, students are recommended to use the “Validate” system function once again prior to their actual course registration and make sure the planned class enrolment is not affected. |
• |
Students should always refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) first and only contact RES by email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) with screen capture of the problem message if they encounter problems during course registration. |
5. |
Term Course Load |
Students MUST read the relevant information on “1st Term Course Registration and Add/Drop, 2022-23 for New Students” and check Year 1 course load of their Major Department/Programme on this website before course registration. For any students who still need to exceed the term load prescribed by their Department/Programme with strong justifications, they must read the information on RES homepage and then submit the applications during 22 August 2022 (12:00 a.m. HKT) - 23 August 2022 (11:59 p.m. HKT). Late application will NOT be considered. |
