我們很榮幸宣布，部門的常駐期刊「骨科轉化期刊」（JOT）已被納入Science Citation Index Expanded（SCIE），並將於2018年6月獲得第一個影響係數。主編是香港中文大學矯形外科及創傷學系的秦嶺教授，他在2013年發表了這本期刊，多年來在骨科領域孜孜不倦地建立它，不僅在科學界，亦在臨床社區。 我們期待看到「骨科轉化期刊」（JOT）在這個新平台的幫助下真正向全球擴展。

在今年的部門週年晚宴上，我們頒發了「週年員工獎項」，以表揚三位同事在2009年的特別成就：
曾柏良先生(ITAV)祝賀他被授予香港中文大學傑出服務獎。 大家都知道有很多人被提名這個獎項，得到這個認可，是Patrick及部門的寶貴經驗。
張戈教授祝賀他被授予第五屆中國藥學發展獎的「康辰骨質疏鬆醫藥研究獎」傑出青年學者獎。 該獎項是由中國衛生部主辦，在北京隆重獻。 恭喜。
方迪培教授祝賀他被任命為FISBS（國際運動生物力學學會院士）。 在過去的20年只有20名學會院士。 這個獎項並不容易得到。 順帶一提，兩名院士是我們的「校友」（均為陳啟明教授的研究生）。
