1. How can users access to LiHS Core Facilities?
Members of LiHS and the Faculty of Medicine, CUHK may request for access to LiHS Core Facilities with the online registration form at https://www.lihs.cuhk.edu.hk/en-us/corefacilitiesandresources/corefacilities/registration.aspx.
Submitted request shall be sent to corresponding Principal Investigator for endorsement, and access shall be granted in 1 working day from the receipt of endorsement.
2. How long in advance should user submit sample for Microarray analysis?
The Core Laboratory has no Chips in stock. Users should contact the Core Laboratory 1-2 months before microarray experiments, especially for bulk order.
3. How to order service of LiHS Core Laboratory?
Users may contact the Core Laboratory staff and request for particular service. A corresponding request form and quotation will then be sent to users. To confirm the order, users should return the request form with Department head’s signature and account information to the Core Laboratory before placing the order of reagents and chips from vendors.
4. How can user receive the data?
Users can transfer the data of Microarray Analysis by portable external hard disk. Core Lab Staff will send the data for Flow Cytometry Cell Sorter via Dropbox. For other self-service platforms, users can save the data via USB flash drive.
