Drawing on experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the inaugural Cochrane Convenes brought together leaders in health research and health evidence to explore and recommend the changes needed in evidence synthesis to prepare for and respond to future global health emergencies. 

This review provides insight into the effectiveness of measures implemented in the school setting to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cochrane Hong Kong is co-organising the Cochrane Evidence Translation and Dissemination Competition initiated and led by Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, together with four other universities as co-organisers. The competition aims to encourage interested scholars and students to translate Cochrane evidence into Simplified Chinese.

Organised by Cochrane Hong Kong for the 7th Pan-Pacific Nursing Conference, two 1-day and 2-day pre-conference workshops on ‘Interpreting systematic reviews and using Cochrane Reviews’ and ‘Systematic Reviews and Evidence Synthesis’ were successfully held from 26th to 27th May!

Cochrane Hong Kong will hold two workshops on 26-27 May 2021 as the pre-conference workshops of the Seventh Pan-Pacific Nursing Conference. The objectives of the workshops are to enable participants to understand and interpret systematic reviews and meta-analyses and to equip participants with knowledge and skills in planning and conducting Cochrane Reviews. 

Updated Cochrane review assesses how accurate rapid tests are for detecting COVID-19.

Can medicines that block interleukin-6 (a protein involved in immune responses) treat COVID-19?用Tocilizumab（一種阻斷白細胞介素-6的藥物）治療COVID-19可以減少治療后28天內死亡的人數，而且導致的嚴重不良事件數目可能比安慰劑治療組更少。 目前正在研究能阻斷白細胞介素-6的其他藥物治療COVID-19的效果。 綜述作者將在獲得其他研究的結果后對本綜述進行更新。
