香港中文大學電子工程系經由2009年諾貝爾物理學獎獲得者高錕 (Charles Kuan Kao) 教授創建。該系固態電子學研究組主管兼該校材料中心主任許建斌教授,長期致力於探索先進固態電子材料和器件，側重於以下幾個方面：(1) 納米技術在固態電子材料和器件中的應用(如掃描探針顯微術和近場顯微術, 納米材料和器件構築與表徵); (2) 有機固態半導體電子及光電子器件(如器件物理,界面改性與表徵,新型器件探索); (3) 氧化物基固態半導體電子及光電子器件; (4) 新型固態半導體電子及光電子器件的理論探討; (5) 新型太陽能技術。 更多資訊詳見香港中文大學電子工程系固態電子研究組網頁:
