CUHK Department of Electronic Engineering Contact

Welcome!

The Intelligent Photonics Group, led by Dr. Chaoran Huang, investigates new fronts in computing and intelligent information processing using Photonics. We have broad research interests cutting across silicon photonics and nanophotonics, material engineering, and electronics. We want to leverage concepts from different fields and merge them to solve the grand challenges in computing and unleash a wide range of applications ranging from intelligent sensing and imaging, communications, cybersecurity, and many more. Check out our research and publication page to learn more about our work.

Our researchers have access to cutting-edge equipment for high-speed, high-precision measurement and Nanofabrication Lab for advanced integrated photonic and electronic device research. Our research is also greatly benefited from foundry services providing highly reliable photonics fabrication and packaging techniques.

We now have openings for postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduate researchers. We look for group members who are self-motivated, collaborative, curious, and open to broad problems. If you are interested in joining us, please contact us via email to discuss research opportunities.
