Welcome to the website of The Hong Kong Centre for the Development of Educational Leadership (HKCDEL). 

The Centre is housed in the Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research on the campus of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Our Centre's mission is to advance the practice, understanding and development of leadership at all levels of education. Through working closely with practicing educational leaders and in close association with the Department of Educational Administration and Policy, we aim to provide quality research, development and training activities for educational leaders in Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, the Asia-Pacific Region and the wider international community. We are firmly committed to working with motivated educational leaders to promote the quality of educational leadership in its many forms and contexts. 

We believe that leadership resides and should be nurtured at all organizational levels in all educational institutions. We therefore aim to work closely with school leaders, including principals, vice-principals, mid-level leaders and teacher-leaders; as well as leaders in other education and educational related organizations.
