The Centre logo is dervied from the ancient Chinese Character "Shou", which means "leader".

Purposes

The Hong Kong Centre for the Development of Educational Leadership was established in 1998 with the aims of:
–
 		conducting and supporting quality research into relevant and current leadership issues;
   
– initiating and collaborating in creative development projects which support the improvement of leadership practice and understanding;
   
– developing training activities for established and aspiring leaders using a range of approaches;
   
– disseminating cutting-edge knowledge to educational leaders;
   
– providing consultancy services to educational leaders and institutions;
   
– cultivating networks for the purpose of furthering leadership knowledge and skills.
