Electives Overseas Student

Our Department offers elective attachments in anaesthesia, intensive care and pain management for medical students attending overseas universities. Students are normally accepted for a period of 2 to 4 weeks. We accept up to three students at any one time. We prefer students entering their last two years of study. 

During term time (July to Feb) we provide a comprehensive two week anaesthesia course for our own medical students, to which we attach visiting students. Otherwise, we offer clinical attachments to the operating theatre, intensive care (1-week) and pain sessions (1-week).

We regularly accept students from around the globe, e.g. Australia, England, Germany, New Zealand, and Scotland.
