Scholarships and Financial Aid
- In the academic year 2020-2021, the total amount of scholarships, awards and financial aid offered by the College is over HK$10 million, which is one of the largest amounts among the 9 Colleges in CUHK.

(a) United College Whole-person Education Admission Scholarships Scheme
In order to encourage students with different talents and expertise to pursue studies in United College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, United College has established the "United College Whole-person Education Admission Scholarships Scheme", awards which include the following:
- Tien Chang Lin Sports Scholarships
Tien Chang Lin Sports Scholarships are to give recognition to year-one students who have achieved high standards in the performance of sports activities as well as to encourage them to further develop these potentials at the United College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. There are five awards, in the amount of HK$20,000 each.
- Dr Thomas Chen Si Yuan Social Service Admission Scholarships
Dr Thomas Chen Si Yuan Social Service Admission Scholarships are to give recognition to year-one students who have made outstanding contributions in social services whilst in high school and to encourage them to join the United College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. There are three awards, in the amount of HK$10,000 each. The Scholarships are renewable in the normative period of study for a maximum tenure of 4 years if the awardees meet the renewal requirements.
- Innovation and Culture Admission Scholarships
The Innovation and Culture Admission Scholarships are to recognise year-one students who have shown talents and capacity for creativity in the arts and culture as well as to encourage them to further develop these potentials at the United College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. There are two awards, in the amount of HK$10,000 each.(b) First-in-the-Family Tertiary Education Admission Scholarships
The First-in-the-Family Tertiary Education Admission Scholarships are to encourage students who are the first generation in the family to pursue tertiary education at United College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. There are 100 awards, in the amount of HK$2,500 each. - Residence Grants
The College residence grants aim to provide financial assistance to our students to enable them to live in housing on or close by the campus, so that they can enjoy a better learning environment and be better able to participate in extra-curricular activities.
