Exercise Psychology And Motor Learning Research

Research Objectives
The Exercise Psychology and Motor Learning Research Group takes a multidisciplinary approach to examining participation motivation for exercise and associations of motor performance with physical activity and associated health outcomes in children with and without disabilities. Recent research projects have centered on the assessment of motor skill performance and the intervention effects on physical activity, motor and cognitive functions, and psychosocial health of children including those with cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, and developmental coordination disorder. Our vision is to conduct high quality evidence-based research that makes significant scholarly contributions in the application of knowledge leading to demonstrated impact on children with disabilities and special educational needs (SEN) in the field.
