Government funded fellowship scheme for local (Hong Kong) CUHK-MScBME students (2021-22 intake)

While the government recognises biomedical engineering (BME) as one the strategic economic sectors for Hong Kong, a number of fellowship places, with each representing a maximum subsidy of programme fee up to HK$120,000 per student, are now available for the 2021-22 academic year and beyond.

Prospective students who hold HK permanent residence are invited to apply. The award of the fellowships will take into account the students' academic achievements, professional qualifications, relevant working experience and achievements in other areas, language proficiency, interview performance as well as the proposals submitted by the students with special attention to their personal statement on how they can contribute to the priority areas of Hong Kong after completing the programme.

Submission of application still uses CUHK's online application platform, except that fellowship applicants are expected to upload additional information as stipulated by the assessment criteria, i.e. academic records, resume summarising work experience and achievements, and a personal statement.

For CUHK-MScBME, the application deadline is 31 March 2021. Screening of fellowship applicants will start immediately after deadline.
