Joint School Staff Development Day

Since first launched in 2002/03, the Joint School Staff Development Day has become an annual event for partner primary and secondary schools, with the number of participants exceeding 2000 per year. The event sets out its objectives of leading school practitioners to broadened visions, new knowledge and professional reflection, and hence bringing about professional synergy within school for continuous improvement.

As a usual practice, the team organizes more than 30 workshops and seminars of different themes in the 1-day schedule for each development day. Participants are encouraged to attend sessions of their own preferences and interests. The team looks forward to teachers’ actions in transferring and applying their intellectual gains, and hence promoting teachers’ professional development and student’s learning. Most sessions are hosted by School Development Officers. Please refer to the following table for themes for the past development days.
