The programme of study includes basic theological studies, general education and languages; students can also opt for minor subjects. It will take at least 4 years to complete this full-time programme.

Major Programme Requirement
Students are required to complete a minimum of 70 units of courses as follows:

| One course from each of Theological Studies Areas 2, 4 and 5 | 9 |
| At least two courses at 2000 or above level from each of Theological Studies Areas 1 and 3 | 12 |

- Students in their final year of attendance are allowed to take THEO and CURE courses at 5000 or above level, subject to the approval of the Director of Divinity School of Chung Chi College and the Chairman of the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies.
- THEO and CURE courses at 2000 and above level will be included in the calculation of the Major GPA for honours classification.
