Description
  • Poon Ming Kay graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Chinese Language and Literature, and obtained his Bachelor (First Class Honors), Master, and Doctor degrees accordingly. Since 2006, he has been teaching in this department, serving successively as Instructor I, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and is currently Professor and Department Chairman. He also holds concurrent positions as an Honorary Research Fellow at the D.C.Lau Research Centre for Chinese Ancient Texts, Institute of Chinese Studies, Associate Master and Dean of General Education at Wu Yee Sun College, and Associate Director of the University General Education.
  • His research areas include Confucian literature, Classics from the Han and Tang dynasties, historical taboos, overseas Chinese texts, and natural history.
  • He has been honored with the Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
