Dr. Zhao was with the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory from 2016 to 2019. He was a recipient of the 2020 Hong Kong RGC Early Career Award and the 2021 IEEE Power and Energy Society Prize Paper Award. His research focuses on the control and optimization of networked systems, e.g., power systems.
