Poem I
Chinese:
王洪文，後來居上，
污七八糟是內行。
搶班奪權忙照像（相），
地道的政治流氓！

Pinyin:
Wang Hongwen hou lai ju shang,
wu qi ba zao shi nei xing.
Qiang ban duo quan mang xing xiang,
di dao de zheng zhi liu mang!

English:
“Wang Hongwen, came to the top from the back,
He is an expert in making chaos.
He rushed to seize power and then he rushed to have a portrait made,
He is a genuine political hooligan.

Notes:
Wang Hongwen holds in his hands a self-portrait with written on it: “Portrait of the Head of the Committee, Chairman of the Army” (委員長，軍主席像).

Poem II
Chinese:
狗頭軍師張，
大樹“春橋思想”。
出謀劃策；
一個黑宰相！

Pinyin:
Gou tou jun shi chuan,
da shu 'Chunqiao si xiang'.
Chu mou hua ce,
yi ge hei zai xiang!

English:
The dog military consulter Zhang Chunqiao,
To spare no effort to establish/boast his “Chunqiao’s Thought” (春橋思想)
He put forwards plans and ideas,
He is a Black prime minister.

Notes:
Zhang Chunqiao stands on a podium called “Chunqiao’s thought”. Hanging from his shoulder is a smoking gun called “Down with the surrounded land”(打土圍子) . In his hand he holds a paper: “Socialism….analysis of the classes…..”(社會主義……各階級分析……).He wears a collar pointing at his “reflection” of the Guomindang’s policies. The cleaning tool in his hand/claw is “Feelings of 3 February” (二月三日有感)

Poem III
Chinese:
江青不清；
一個白骨精，
論野心最大；
“紅都”女皇夢

Pinyin:
Jiang Qing bu qing,
yi ge bai gu jing,
lun ye xin zui da,
'hong du 'nü huang meng!

English:
Jiang Qing is not honest (清) at all,
She is a white-boned demon,
Her biggest ambition,
Is to be a “Red Capital” Empress.
Notes:
On the hat of Jiang Qing we can read: “Empress, Empress Lü, Wu Zetian” (慈禧，呂後，武則天). On the sword: “Kill those who rebel against me”( 逆我者亡). “Empress of the Red Capital” 紅都女皇 was a book allegendly published in Hong Kong in 1973.
Notice the dollar sign decorating the hem of her skirt.

Poem IV
Chinese:
姚禿子文疵；
筆下都是“理”。
殺人手腕多；
漏網壞東西！

Pinyin:
Yao tu zi wen bi,
bi xia du shi 'li'.
Sha ren shou wan duo,
lou wang huai dong xi!

English:
Yao the bold, a mediocre man of letters”
In his wording everything is “logic”,
He is very skilful in killing people,
a villain escaped from the net.

Notes:
Yao Wenyuan is surrounded by a paper reciting: “Until the end, I exhort: Act according to the established guidelines”( 臨終囑咐：按既定方針辦). On his hatchet: “kill people” (殺人)
