Student Associations and Teams
Lee Woo Sing College would like to deliver our love, care and harmony to the community. The WS Social Service Team is established with the aim to cultivate students who are enthusiastic about serving the community. By participating in volunteer services, it is hoped that WS students will be the leaders in serving various communities in the future. Participating students are required to attend training courses organized by the College to gain a thorough understanding of volunteer service theories. The team have organized volunteer activities in the following areas:

The Social Service Team encourages students to focus on various youth issues and use their own life experiences to support their peers. By providing volunteer services to students with special learning needs and organizing activities that develop learning and social skills, they help these students face and adapt to various challenges on their path to growth. This also promotes mutual support and understanding between WS students and other adolescents.

The College has been committed to promoting various environmental education initiatives, with the Social Service Team being an integral part of these efforts. The Team has organized activities to address ecological issues across Hong Kong, advocating for environmental conservation through community events. For example, they have taken care of wild cattle in Sai Kung that have lost their food sources due to environmental destruction, thereby raising students' environmental awareness.

Mental health issues are becoming increasingly common in Hong Kong. The Social Service Team members attended mental health first aid courses to learn how to assist people experiencing emotional distress. They used the knowledge gained from the course to design various cultural activities, such as sound bowl therapy, to help alleviate others' mental stress and raise public awareness about mental health.

There are many abandoned animals in the community, and their rights are often compromised as they co-exist with humans in the city. Students from the Social Service Team use their knowledge of animal first-aid to care for abandoned animals in the urban area as volunteers. They also promote the importance of animal protection on social media, advocating for animal rights within the community.
