Lee Woo Sing College was honoured with two prestigious awards in 2024-25 Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme: Triple Gold Award for its website and Gold Award for WoosApp + , the College’s mobile application. The award presentation ceremony was held on 19 May 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with Prof. Ellis FOK (right of above picture), Dean of Students, attending on behalf of the College to receive the awards.

The “Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme” is organised by Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited, with the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer as the co-organiser, and the Equal Opportunities Commission as the independent advisor. The Scheme aims to recognise organisations from all sectors that design accessible web pages and mobile applications. Accessible websites enable everyone, regardless of one’s physical condition, to browse website information and use online services more easily, promoting a harmonious and inclusive society.

Lee Woo Sing College has been participating in the “Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme” since 2016. The Triple Gold Award recognizes units that have achieved the “Gold Award” level for three consecutive years or more. To attain gold award levels, participating websites and mobile applications must meet 27 and 23 professional evaluation criteria respectively, addressing the needs of users with varying abilities. These standards are evaluated through both system-based and manual testing. Launched in 2023, WoosApp + participated in the Scheme for the first time this year. The app allows students and the public to access comprehensive information about the College, register for activities and utilise various college services.
