During the Christmas and New Year holidays of 2024 (from 23 December 2024 to 1 January 2025), 12 students participated in the Service Learning Programme in Japan under the UC Globe-oriented Active Learning (GOAL) Programme. Eschewing the bustling tourist cities, they embarked on a transformative journey to Tokushima, a serene locale in eastern Shikoku, Japan, approximately 2.5 hours by car from Osaka. The students immersed themselves in the local community, served the residents, and experienced Japan’s unique culture.
