University Medical Service Office (UMSO) will organize Shingles Awareness Campaign. The service fee is HK$2,200 per dose.  Two doses are required.  UMSO-eligible users aged 50 or above are welcome to join.  Limited quotas are available.  Pre-registration is required.

UMSO would like to appeal CUHK members for keep vigilant against chickenpox on campus. We start surveillance since 25 Sep 2024 and found that the number of chickenpox case may increase in coming week due to students may still have mild symptoms even they have vaccinated. 

For the student who has signs and symptoms of chickenpox such as fever and itchy skin rashes, please consult doctor immediately, stay at home and be excluded from school until all vesicles have dried up.
For the confirmed chickenpox case of hostel student, please notify your college staff for special arrangement and UMSO for central surveillance and monitoring, and reporting to Centre of Health Protection.
