Innovating urban biodiversity solutions

Moderated by Prof. Jerome Hui (1st left, top), Dr. Babara Ribeiro (middle, top) from Murdoch University and Prof. Dieter Hochuli (1st right, top) from The University of Sydney speak on biodiversity for sustainable cities.
Human impact is driving a biodiversity crisis, especially in urban areas, highlighting the urgent need for sustainable development that balances human growth with ecosystem preservation. To address this global challenge, CUHK is co-organising a webinar series in partnership with the APRU Pacific Rim Biodiversity and Sustainability Programme and the APRU Sustainable Cities and Landscapes Programme to promote dialogue in ecosystem protection for urban sustainability among researchers, practitioners, educators, students, and other stakeholders.
The first two webinars were held in April and July, featuring speakers from Murdoch University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, The Pennsylvania State University, and The University of Sydney. Prof. Jerome Hui of the School of Life Sciences steered the development of the series and served as the moderator for the webinar in July. The first two webinars attracted some 120 participants from around the world.
The third webinar will be held on 16 October. All faculty members, researchers and students are welcome to register here.
