PLACY® (Physical Literacy Academy for Children and Youth Limited) was established in April 2022 with the support of S-KPF of CUHK. As a social enterprise, PLACY® is committed to providing physical literacy, physical fitness, and sports talent assessments, certifications, awards, rankings, as well as consultation and referral services for children and youth of different physical abilities, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. The goal is to help them fully realize their potential in sports. Disadvantaged groups are key target objectives for PLACY®, including students from low-income families, Special Educational Needs (SEN) students, and ethnic minorities. PLACY® aims to provide a platform for younger generations to understand their physical condition and athletic potential at an earlier stage through assessments and tests. This helps to raise awareness of the importance of sports and physical literacy in their daily lives and discover more potential elite athletes for Hong Kong.
