Tien Chi Microcomputer Laboratory of the is now offering the Portable Solid State Drive (SSD) borrowing service. UC student may come to the lab in-person and present valid CUlink to College staff on duty at the lab, complete an online booking form, and pay deposit for borrowing the SSD!
Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before using this service:
➤ Only United College student is eligible to use this service.
➤ Quota for using the portable SSD borrowing service is limited and will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
➤ Borrowing time: Monday to Friday (except Public Holidays), 9:30am – 5:00pm
➤ Borrowing Period: At most 7 days (including Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays)
➤ Deposit: HKD$500 (refundable upon returning the SSD on time; Cash only, no change will be provided)
➤ The borrowed SSD is non-transferrable to a third party.
➤ Applicant must come to the laboratory in-person and present valid CUlink to College staff on duty at the lab, complete this online booking form and pay the deposit (HKD$500) for borrowing the SSD.
➤ Check the equipment and report any damage before borrowing. Deposit will be forfeited, and user has to compensate the College by paying the price difference of the SSD (HKD $380) if the SSD is found damaged or loss after borrowing.
➤ Before returning the SSD, borrower should back up all data and clear all files from the SSD. The college will check and remove all data from the SSD upon its return. The college will not be responsible for any lost files or data.
➤ Borrowing period of SSD cannot be renewed.
➤ The College reserves the right to amend the rules where deem appropriate. In case of any dispute, United College reserves the right of final decision.
