Biography

Dr. Tang Mei Kuen Florence (鄧美娟) earned her doctoral degree in Anatomy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and is a registered veterinary surgeon in Hong Kong. She has been a part of the CUHK community for over 20 years. Her teaching interests primarily lie in Anatomy, research techniques in biomedical studies, and academic integrity. She is deeply passionate about teaching anatomy and is actively involved in developing courseware using emerging technologies, including mobile application development, mixed reality, 3D printing/scanning, the metaverse, and generative AI. Her team has developed several innovative VR/AR courseware to enhance student teaching and learning processes. Dr. Tang also fervently promotes STEM education at both high school and university levels. Her work has been featured in regional and international medical and biomedical sciences educational workshops and conferences.
