The 32-year Reunion of Class 1991 was held on 17 June 2023, with nearly 40 alumni participating in the event. With the passing of the pandemic, the College resumed alumni reunions that were suspended in previous years. Alumni attending the reunion no longer had to worry about infection and could enjoy the campus tour arranged by the College which added significance to the reunion.

In the afternoon, more than ten alumni arrived at the CUHK campus to join the campus tour. They first took a coach to visit the main campus where student helpers introduced the CUHK’s new development. For those who have not visited their alma mater for a long time, the University has changed substantially in the past 30 years. Apart from new colleges, many new buildings and facilities have been constructed, while the number of canteens has also increased. The alumni also shared their memories when walking around the campus. They then proceeded to the New Asia campus. The highlight of the tour was the newly constructed fifth student hostel Mei Yun Tang. The new hostel is very spacious, with a multi-purpose function hall with advanced audio-visual equipment.

In the evening, nearly 40 alumni and their family arrived at Yun Chi Hsien. Alumni who have not met each other for long were still able to recognise each other, and were excited to catch up and chat about their past experiences. The event began with singing the College Anthem, followed by a welcome speech from Associate College Head Professor Chong Tai-leung Terence. Chairperson of the College Alumni Association Ms. Wong Chui-hong Anny also attended the reunion to show her support. During the dinner, alumni reminisced over old photos and shared their interesting stories.

The College would like to express its sincere gratitude to all the class coordinators for making the event a success. We hope that the class of 1991 will continue to support College activities and care about the development of their alma mater.
