Upcoming Activities

The integration of Eastern and Western cultures has always been the educational ideal of New Asia College. In addition to promotion of Chinese culture, the College also seeks to enhance students’ understanding of different cultures around the world through cultural exposure, and to nurture students who embrace inclusion and possess a wide range of interests and knowledge.

The Professor Yeung Chung Kee Cultural Integration Award was established in 2023 with a generous donation of HK$1,000,000 from Professor Yeung Chung Kee of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature (1967 graduate of the College). The Award is entitled “Cultural Integration”, adopting the word “integrate” from the first statement of The Academic Code of New Asia College, “While pursuing knowledge, also learn how to cultivate your moral character. The two goals are to be achieved as an integrated whole”. The College envisages that our students will be able to initiate and organize individual or group cultural activities in order to develop their creativity, broaden their horizons, connect with the world, and apply and promote the belief of cultural integration through this Award. Applications will be reviewed regardless of the year of study, academic performance or financial situation of the applicants. Applicants will be awarded on a merit basis.
