Background, Vision and Mission

New Asia College Cultural Talks was first started in 1950 and terminated in 1954. Later in 2014, it was revived. Jointly organized by New Asia College and the New Asia College Alumni Association, co-organized by New Asia Middle School, New Asia College Cultural Talks holds three to four talks each year. It aims to promote Chinese culture, academic and cultural exchanges between East and West, peace and well-being of the human race.

(A) Terms of Reference

1. To invite scholars to be the speakers of the talks;
2. To organize the talks, with the audience of College students and staff, students and staff of New Asia Middle School and general public.

(B) Composition

1. The Committee consists of a maximum of 18 members;
2. The Chairperson is the Head of College, while the Secretary is appointed by the College Secretary.

(C) Meeting Schedule

1. A meeting will normally be convened once a year;
2. The Chairperson may convene other ad hoc meeting(s) if necessary.
