Online donation: We encourage you to donate via our online donation platform (Click here).

By Mail: Please download and fill in the donation form, and send it to:

 

Rm 102, College Office, Cheng Ming Building, New Asia College, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shatin, N.T., Hong Kong (Donation form)

 

For cheque donations, please write the cheque payable to “New Asia College” (For donations from Canada please write payable to “The Chinese University of Hong Kong”). You may fill in our online donation form and mail the cheque only without printing out the form.

2. How do I donate from overseas?
We welcome donations from friends all over the world. You may donate via our online donation platform, or mail a signed donation form to us. If you are donating from The U.S. or Canada, you may receive tax-deductible donation receipts. For details please click here.

 

Donors from other regions of the world will receive donation receipts issued by the New Asia College, which are tax-deductible in Hong Kong, where the donation is not less than one hundred Hong Kong Dollars.

 

3. When do I receive the donation receipt?
Donations of HKD100 or above would receive an official receipt. Receipts would be sent to donors’ addresses within 60 days. If the receipts are not received in 60 days, please contact us at nacgift@cuhk.edu.hk / 3943 7634 / 3943 9680.

 

Receipts for recurring donations would be sent to the donors at the end of May annually.

 

4. How to make recurring donations?
We accept recurring donations by Credit Card.

 

Online donation: you may opt for recurring donations on the platform.

By Mail: You may opt for recurring donations in our recurring donation form. Please send the filled form to:

Rm 102, Cheng Ming Building, New Asia College, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shatin, N.T (Donation Form).

 

The College makes transactions monthly (usually on the 20th day of each month). We will contact you when your credit card is about to expire.

 

5. Is my donation tax-deductible in Hong Kong?
Yes, it is. As a constituent College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, New Asia College is legitimately recognized for its charitable status, and therefore can issue tax-exemption receipts to donors who donate to the College with not less than one hundred Hong Kong dollars.

7. Is there a minimum donation amount?
Donations can be made in any amount, while receipts for tax exemption are subject by law to donations of a minimum amount of one hundred Hong Kong dollars.

 

Apart from that, to maintain the sustainability of our scholarships, bursaries, and financial aids, we welcome donations of HKD100,000, on the basis of disbursements for at least 1 student per year for 10 years. If donors would like to establish an endowment fund, the minimum donation amount is HK$250,000 (applicable by installment).

 

8. What is an Endowment Fund?
An endowment fund uses the donation as its capital, which will be used for specific investments. The income generated would be used for a specified purpose(s). The fund runs permanently. The minimum requirement for establishing an endowment fund is HKD250,000.

 

9. How does New Asia College acknowledge the donors?
The College publishes the names of donors in our selected publications in recognition of the donors for their generous donations. We publish the names, majors, and years of graduation (NA Alumni), or the names of institutions. A name in Chinese is preferable. Donor names will also be published on the donor list on this website.

 

If a donor wishes to remain anonymous, please state the preference in the donation form.

 

Names of donors who donate HKD50,000 or more would be recognized in our electronic “Donors Recognition Plaque”. The College will contact donors for arrangements.

 

10. Can I remain anonymous in donor listings (if any) when I donate?
Yes, you can. Please specify the wish to remain anonymous when you make your donation.

 

11. How do I enquire about the usage of my donation? 
The College reports usages of specific funds in our selected publications from time to time. For donors of named funds, we provide periodical reports. The reports may be submitted by the beneficial recipients, departments, or faculties.
