The Campus Still Cares   23 A y e a r h a s passed since the Sichuan earthquake. In his prayer at the College assembly, Rev. Dr. Ng said, ‘When we cheer for the first Chinese astronaut who made the nation’s first ever spacewalk, we do not forget the struggles of our countrymen who lost their limbs in the Sichuan earthquake and their ability to walk on earth. As media attention wanes and sympathy subsides, they’re faced with little other than a long rehabilitation process and a life completely different from the one they knew.’ The CUHK community still cares about Sichuan; many relief and reconstruction programmes launched after the earthquake are still going on.
