The Department of Sociology co-hosted the 2012 spring meeting of the Research Committee on Social Stratification and Mobility (RC28) of the International Sociological Association with the Centre for Applied Social and Economic Research, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. With the theme ‘Economic Transformation and Social Stratification in Comparative Perspectives’, the conference took place from 10 to 13 May on CUHK campus.
