Family Medicin e into a School o f Public Health to raise public awareness of the importance of prevention through training and research activities and to achieve 'Health for A i r ' . A New School for the New Century The School of Public Health w i l l consist of five divisions: Occupational and Environmental Health, Epidemiology an d Biostatistics, Health Care Policy, Personal H e a l t h , and F a m i l y Medicine. It w i l l also have man y r esea r ch centres. It w i l l offer under- graduate and postgraduate programmes and provide training for public health workers, health education workers, and dieticians. The school building w i l l be constructed on a site at the Prince of Wales Hospital with a donation of HK$51 mi l l i on from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, and is expected to be completed in early 2001.
