Biography

Dr. Yuliang WANG obtained his Master degree (Surgery) and completed his clinical training as a urologist in Peking University. After that, Dr. Wang continued his PhD study and postdoctoral research in the School of Biomedical Sciences at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Currently, he is working as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at CUHK.

Dr Wang’s current research work focuses on the prostate carcinogenesis. He has published more than 20 research papers in a number of prestigious journals, including Cancer Research, Oncogene, Molecular Aspects of Medicine and Endocrine-Related Cancer. As Principal Investigator, Dr. Wang obtained two National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) grants (Young scientist and General programs). He also acts as Co-Is of various research fundings from RGC, ITF, and HMRF.

Research Interests

  • Lineage plasticity in prostate cancer;
  • Orphan nuclear receptors-mediated signaling pathways in prostate cancer;
  • Transcriptional regulation of castration-resistant and neuroendocrine prostate cancer
