The earlier the gifts are nurtured, the earlier the individual recognizes h i s / her potential and develops it. Richly endowed with a pool of experienced educationalists, advanced facilities, and a beautiful campus, The Chinese University has all the makings of a centre for nurturing those born with exceptional abilities. Its campus is open not only to those seeking quality tertiary education, but also to many youngsters whose talents become manifest in their early teens. From 26th July to 1st August 1998,98 talented junior secondary students from Hong Kong and the mainland gathered on the CUHK campus to participate in the second Summer Gifted Programme. These lucky youngsters were nominated by their schools to receive this chance to actualize their potential, broaden their vision, and engage in cultural exchange.
