是次活動收到逾200份申請，會方根據學生個人學術成績與獎項、社會服務、活動參與程度，初步選出20名入圍決選之大學生。獲選學生背景各有不同，他們都在不同領域中積極參與社會服務，以自身所長貢獻社會。經過評審們的慎審挑選及商議，在面試遴選後最終定出最後十位得獎傑出大學生及十位優秀大學生。入圍決選的學生得到香港明德會頒發的證書及推薦信，而十位傑出大學生每人更獲頒港幣一萬元正獎金。
