Animals

We currently breed over 180 strains of mice, 7 strains of rats as well as New Zealand White Rabbits, Syrian Hamsters and Musk Shrews. We can also source Pigs, Goats, Ferrets, Guinea Pigs and Fowl from external suppliers. 

Mice & Rats are Specified Pathogen Free (SPF) for the majority of rodent viruses (Click here for details). 

All animal experimentation is only conducted following approval from the University Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee and under individual researcher licence from the Hong Kong Government Department of Health. (Click here for details).
